Blue Phantom 2

High precision technology fits onto your needs, for fastest and most precise Linac commissioning.

The new Blue Phantom 2 is the only modular 3D water phantom for commissioning, testing and regular QA of Linacs, which can be customized to the required specifications. The water phantom is equipped with high-precision technology, using e.g. the magnetostrictive technology in its mechanics for increased precision and accuracy. For more efficiency, the new hand pendant allows easy and intuitive control of the phantom and the water reservoir. Well known features as e.g. the continuous scanning mode and leveling frame have been maintained.

The Blue Phantoms2 is completely replacing the Blue Phantom and RFA-300.

RFA-200

Accurate and user-friendly

The RFA-200 is the versatile 2D water phantom for commissioning, testing and regular QA of Linacs. The water phantom has a robust construction and is equipped with high linearity feedback potentiometers for accurate measurements. Ironless precision DC motors eliminate backscatter artefacts.

The limited size of the RFA-200 allows for easy alignment and is light weighted.

“Overall, of all systems that I have used, the Sacanditronix Wellhöfer RFA-200 scanning system running OmniPro-Accept software is hands down the best of all systems that I have used over the years. The ease of use, the ability to use any computer, e.g. laptop, the ability to use cut and paste between scan files, and the ease of generating PDD and TMR makes data collection a joy instead of a chore.”

COMPASS System

Patient based verification in true 3D anatomy

Type IBA subtitle here

COMPASS leads you into a new era in the IMRT/IGRT pre-treatment and treatment monitoring and verification. It provides truly independent analysis of the accuracy of your planned treatment and the dose delivered to the patient.

COMPASS is thus a system to increase precision and efficiency of the individual patient treatment and combines.

- determination of dose distribution during patient treatment using a beam model, a detector measurement and a fluence reconstruction
- display of the 3D dose distribution in patient anatomy
- comparison of measured with expected dose distributions.

COMPASS software version 2.0 is NOW ready for Rotational Treatment!

  • The gantry angle sensing COMPASS 2.0 now
  • • supports MatriXXEvolution with Gantry Angle Sensor
  • • takes the real gantry angle into account for the 3D dose calculation
  • • records measured frames together with the measured angle
  • • displays and compares the predicted and measured response as a function of the measured angle for rotational plans
  • • offers additional visualization options in the 3D dosimetric workspace for rotational plans
  • • shows isocenter in all views

Your guide to next generation monitoring and verification.

A (patent pending) method using a high resolution ionization chamber transmission detector and a Linac beam model allows exact fluence determination and comparison with TPS fluence.

Based on the transmission detector measurement, an advanced forward calculation algorithm subsequently reconstructs the 3D dose distribution in patient anatomy.

The 3D dose distribution is then compared with the TPS. A modern set of software tools incl. DVH allows for a side by side analysis of the two data sets either cumulative or per fraction.

COMPASS software is developed in cooperation with RaySearch Laboratories AB.

Energy verification plates

Novel design for energy verification

The unique, patent pending technique for energy constancy determination in x-ray (Co60-25 MV) and electron (4-22 MeV) beams utilizes an optional special plate for each of the two beam qualities.

Eight chambers go inside with specific attenuators that are embedded in the plate when it is placed on StarTrack. A special algorithm utilizes ratios of signals from the chambers, appropriate for the energy being checked, to verify the energy constancy.

This novel design allows for the simultaneous determination of energy constancy as well as primary and diagonal profiles.

X-Lite

Light up your radiation fields

The X-Lite is a fast and precise QA tool for light field alignment checks which have to be done, according to national and international recommendations, at least once a week and should correspond to within +/- 2 mm at SSD 100 cm.

It consists of a fluorescent plate that is activated by ionizing radiation, producing a green fluorescence which is clearly visible for a few minutes after the radiation is switched off. The active areas are permanently marked with field scales in centimeters. A protective red filter prevents activation of the phosphor by the light field from the gantry head or by ambient light. Irradiation photons and electrons penetrate the filter to activate the plate.

Absolute Dosimetry

Radioactive Check Devices

Check the constancy of your absolute dosimetry equipment

Radioactive stability check devices are recommended to check the constancy of the Absolute Dosimetry equipment. Moreover, they can be used to determine air density correction factors when using air vented ionization chambers.

CDC for cylindrical ionization chambers: check source includes a shielded 90Sr source. Various adapters are available to accommodate the full range of our cylindrical chambers for Absolute Dosimetry.

CDP: consists of a 90Sr shielded source in a protective container. Adapters for the parallel plate ionization chambers from IBA Dosimetry are available.

The check source library of the DOSE-1 allows for an initial calibration of the check devices and storage of the data in the internal library. Upon subsequent constancy measurements, the DOSE-1 automatically corrects for the decay of the radionuclide. The determined air density factor can be entered in the DOSE-1 and is automatically used for correcting the measurement.

Detector support

Save time

The detector support with automatic detector retraction is a significant time saving device. Additionally, it provides a safe, tangle free environment for the detectors when not in use.

The mechanics allow a detector to be pulled out to any length up to 3.50 m at constant force. The cable locks into position by simply moving it towards the central axis of the support and retracts automatically when it is moved out from the centre.Additionally, the support has an integrated numerical index which clearly identifies each detector, thus helping to ensure that the correct detector is chosen for a given procedure.
